I don’t know about you, but there is something dreary about January, no matter what the weather might be. The excitement and glittering decorations from December have been stashed away; family members we couldn’t wait to see have gone home; and, for those of us in the Mountain West, the cool, chill breath of winter and the dark winter nights seem to start mid-afternoon.
That’s why I always feel such a lift when February arrives. Getting out the Valentine’s decorations with the bright pinks and reds seems to give a boost to my spirit. It’s a sign that spring is coming. And spring is my favorite time of the year.
This year, I’m especially blessed because my family is healthy and happy—and for the first time in years, we didn’t have a frozen water pipe flood our basement! Added to that excitement is the fact that I will have five new novels being released in the next eighteen months! So in honor of all those momentous occasions, I have decided to throw a party. Not just any party, but a two week Romancing the Soul extravaganza!
For the next fourteen days, we’ll countdown to Valentine’s Day. Each day, I’ll give you a peek into a romance writer’s routine. I’ll reveal the artwork for my June release of Desperado, the first book in the Taggart Brothers series from Berkley; I’ll treat you to excerpts from my soon-to-be released novels as well as some of my all-time past favorites; and on my website, I’ll have instructions for crafts and recipes, and a daily tip for “nurturing your romantic soul.” I’ll also be giving away goody bags, free books, and a $25 gift certificate to Amazon. All you have to do to be eligible is to “like”, “share”, or comment on Facebook, retweet on Twitter, or send me your name and address via my webpage. Contest winners will be notified by private message or email.
So break out your Valentine’s Day decorations, add a splash of red or pink to your wardrobe. Bookmark my webpage, lisabinghamauthor.com, “like” my author page on Facebook lisabinghamauthor/facebook.com, or join me on Twitter @lbinghamauthor.
We’re going to have a marvelous time!
